was founded to educate and advocate for the preservation and restoration of three sites in Woolwich Township, and the Borough of Swedesboro, that had Historic significance in the African American story.

At the time of its opening, was the most recent school for "separate but equal" education for African American children in the Borough of Swedesboro and the State of New Jersey
